Prom.

Recently I attended my school Prom and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights of my life, so I thought I'd tell you a few things about it in a blog post.

The day started when my Mum woke me up and gave me a surprise breakfast in bed. She told me "I'm going to be treated like a princess for the day" and I can definitely say that I felt like a princess (if only it could have lasted longer than a day).

For my make up I wanted to keep it as simple and as natural as possible. The products I used were:
  • Show Colors, Brown eye shadow - to lightly contour my eyes.
  • Maybelline, Master Drama, brown Khol liner - to line my upper and lower lash line.
  • NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder.
  • MaxFactor English Rose (510) lipstick.
  • Lipcote - to make sure that my lipstick stayed put all night.
  • Eylure London Pro-lash. These lashes were fairly easy to work with and they gave an overall fuller look to my lashes without being to drastic.
  • Maybelline, The Rocket Volume Express (waterproof) mascara.
  • Benefit, How To Look The Best At Everything.

The Benefit, How To Look The Best At Everything, is the best makeup set I've tried so far (plus it has really pretty packaging!) It includes:
  • The Pore-Fessional balm, which smoothed my skin beautifully and made my foundation stay put all night.
  • Two boi-ing concealers. These concealers really did cover my spots. I do suffer from acne and always find it hard to get a good concealer that gives me coverage. Having the two different shades also made it easier to match my own skin tone.
  • The Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation, gave a lovely natural glow which picked up well on photographs (including flash photography) and was very easy to work with. The more you build it up the more coverage you get.
  • The Hello Flawless Powder, completed the look without it making my face look completely matt. It also came with a little brush to apply it with.
I really do recommend this makeup set to anyone whether your a teenager or adult, it's beautiful. The set also comes with a useful tips and tricks booklet which is helpful for those just starting out. It is also an excellent size for taking on your travels.

I painted my own nails with a french manicure set by Elegant Touch. I really do recommend this set as they didn't chip at all.

My dress was an electro blue colour which was covered in little diamanté jewels. I wore a silver bracelet and little crystal earrings. My neckless is a replica of the Heart Of The Ocean neckless from Titanic the movie.

I also had a little diamanté comb accessory in the back of my hair. The diamanté droplets blended really nicely into my curls.

I was lucky enough to arrive to Prom in a Jaguar XF. It was so cool, the best car ride I've probably ever experienced!! (It did start to rain a bit - hence the umbrellas - however we weren't going to let the weather stop us from having a good time!)

Prom in the UK is still a relevantly new thing, it's definitely not as big as it is in America (yet). We only have Prom once in the UK and that's after we've finished school. We don't have anything like Prom King or Queen either... I'd love to experience an American Prom to see how different it actually is, however, I wouldn't change our Prom for the world!

Parr-tayyyyy!! :)

Over all, Prom was amazing, I don't think it could have gone any better, it was perfect. I would do anything to relive it. So, If you have an upcoming prom make sure you make the most of it whilst it lasts - it goes to quick! It's definitely a big milestone that I will remember forever.  I can't believe my school days are over already, I'm really going to miss it!

Now my journey continues into the big wide world...
